Unbeaten super welterweights Julian Vogel (11-0-1, 7 KOs) and Mykyta Alistratov (8-0-2, 4 KOs) battled to an eight round draw in their clash for the WBO Junior 154lb title on Saturday night at the SES-Gym in Magdeburg, Germany. Scores were 77-75 for Vogel, 77-76 for Alistratov, and 76-76.

Cruiserweight Roman Fress (18-1, 11 KOs) needed just 75 seconds to annihilate previously unbeaten Edwin Mosquera (10-1-2, 6 KOs) in the first round of the co-feature. A hard left to the head finished Mosquera.

In a WBC lightweight eliminator, undefeated WBC #6 Frank “The Ghost” Martin (18-0, 12 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over previously undefeated WBC #8 Olympic bronze medalist Artem Harutyunyan (12-1, 7 KOs) on Saturday night from the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Many rounds were close. Martin had a big edge in round six, then closed the bout strong forcing Harutyunyan to take a knee in round twelve. Scores were 114-113, 115-112, 115-112.

IBF #13 super lightweight Elvis Rodriguez (15-1-1, 13 KOs) broke down and stopped former world champion Viktor Postol (31-5, 12 KOs) in round seven. Rodriguez dropped Postal at the end of round six and opened the seventh with a brutal assault that rocked Postol promoting a referee’s stoppage. Time was :23.

6’2 welterweight prospect Freudis Rojas (11-0, 11 KOs) stopped Diego Sanchez (19-3, 16 KOs) in round seven of a scheduled 10-rounder. Rojas was in command all the way before Sanchez’ corner requested a stoppage from referee Tony Weeks. Time was :58.

In a WBC super bantamweight eliminator, unbeaten WBC #3 Alan David Picasso (25-0-1, 13 KOs) impressively stopped Sabelo Ngebinyana (15-6-1, 11 KOs) in round six on Saturday night at the Restaurant Arroyo in Mexico City. Ngebinyana’s corner threw in the towel to save their fighter from further punishment. Time was 1:24.

Undisputed female super featherweight champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) avenged her lone defeat with a ten round unanimous decision over Christina Linardatou (14-3, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan. Baumgardner, 29, outworked the 35-year-old Linardatou, who recently had a baby. Scores were 99-91, 98-92, 98-92.

Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz won his professional debut at lightweight against two-time world title challenger Juan Carlos Burgos (35-8-3 21 KOs) to claim the IBF International belt. Cruz punished Burgos the whole way en route to a 100-90, 100-90, 98-92 unanimous verdict. The iron-jawed Burgos has never been stopped.

Heavyweight Jermaine Franklin (22-2, 14 KOs), coming off fights against Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte in the UK, dominated previously unbeaten Issac Munoz (17-1-1, 14 KOs), but was forced to go the full ten rounds. Scores were 100-90, 100-90, 99-91.

Featherweight Ja’Rico O’Quinn (16-1-1, 8 KOs) edged Carlos Mujica (8-3, 2 KOs) over ten rounds in a competitive fight. Scores were 97-93, 96-94 on two cards. The third judge had local favorite O’Quinn up 100-90.

WBO #2, IBF #7, WBC #11 super welterweight Josh Kelly (14-1-1, 7 KOs) scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten WBO #9 Gabriel Corzo (18-1, 3 KOs) on Saturday night at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle, England. 2016 Olympian Kelly pressed the action while Corza tried to jab and move. The harder punches were landed by Kelly, who won by scores of 117-110, 120-107, 120-107. Kelly retains his WBO international belt.

WBA #11, IBF #14 light heavyweight Conor Wallace (11-1, 8 KOs) knocked out Mat “The Machine” Sheehan (10-2, 7 KOs) in the first round on Saturday night at the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Wallace dropped Sheehan with a left hand. Sheehan beat the count, but Wallace pounced immediately and blasted him to the canvas again to end it. Time was 2:10. The WBA Oceania, IBF Pan Pacific, and WBC Australasia titles were on the line.

WBA “regular” lightweight champion Gervonta Davis is a free man once again … he’s just been released from jail, TMZ Sports has confirmed. A Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services spokesperson said the star boxer got out of the Baltimore detention center Friday afternoon.

In celebration of the occasion, the 29-year-old took to his Twitter account to post a saluting emoji.

Unbeaten three-division champ “Monster” Naoya Inoue participated in a public workout on Saturday prior to his shot at the WBC, WBO 122-pound belt against Stephen Fulton on July 25. Naoya said, “By moving up from 118 to 122 pounds, I feel more comfortable, stronger and sharper. I’ve also improved my speed.”

After skipping rope and before shadow boxing, his manager/promoter Hideyuki Ohashi abruptly told him to stop training not to show it to the trainers of Team Fulton in attendance since Fulton displayed nothing yesterday. The psychological warfare has already begun.

WBC, WBO 122-pound champion Stephen Fulton stunned the Japanese press people with his brief workout on Friday in Yokohama, Japan. It lasted only 2 minutes 45 seconds, and he left Ohashi Gym, saying, “I don’t like to show my training.” A public workout is a customary event to cooperate with the publicity of a boxing event, but he didn’t actually show anything to the press at all. He just did shadow boxing for a minute, hit punching ball for thirty seconds and landed only three to the punching bag. Fulton said, “Naoya Inoue’s best asset is his excellent timing in punching rather than his power punching. But I’ll be able to outbox him by fighting intelligently.”

Undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney was arrested on Thursday morning following a night out in Hollywood … after cops say they found a semi-automatic handgun in his car during a routine traffic stop.

The 30-0 fighter — who’s coming off a huge win over Vasiliy Lomachenko — was out at Catch L.A. on Wednesday … when just minutes after he left the hotspot around midnight, law enforcement tells TMZ Sports cops pulled over his ride due to an unsafe lane change and a failure to use turn signal.

2020 Olympics gold medalist Andy Cruz will step through the ropes for the first time as a professional on Saturday night in Detroit at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, live worldwide on DAZN.

The 28-year-old signed a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn in May, and on Saturday night will face two-time world title challenger Juan Carlos Burgos (35-7-3 21 KOs) over ten rounds for the IBF international lightweight title. The experienced and rugged Mexican took Cruz’s old foe Keyshawn Davis the eight round distance in December and has never been stopped, ensuring the world gets to see Cruz tested in his very first outing as a pro.

WBC #9 Japanese speedster Taku Kuwahara (13-1, 8 KOs), 112, impressively scored a successful first defense when he beautifully sank WBA #11 ex-world title challenger Wulan Tuolehazi (15-5-2, 7 KOs), 112, from China, with a single body shot for the count at 2:10 of the fourth round in a scheduled twelve rounder on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. Having wrested the regional belt from Filipino Giemel Magramo this March, Kuwahara, fast on hand and foot, mixed it up on very close terms in the first three rounds. The fourth, however, witnessed a countering left hook to the side of the belly drop the Chinese challenger, who couldn’t beat the count in agony.

Unbeaten super middleweight Lester Martinez (16-0, 14 KOs) knocked out Lucas De Abreu (14-4, 11 KOs) in the fourth round on Wednesday night the ProBox TV Event Center in Plant City, Florida. The heavy-handed Martinez dropped De Abreu twice in round three and he got the W after another knockdown in round four. Time was :33.

Unbeaten light heavyweight Najee Lopez (7-0, 6 KOs) needed just 48 seconds to destroy Chris Brooker (16-14, 6 KOs). A right hand to the side of the head ended Brooker’s night.

Unbeaten lightweight Julio Solis (9-0, 6 KOs) pounded on Yesner Talavera (15-15-1, 4 KOs) for eight rounds. Scores were 80-72 3x.

Unbeaten welterweight Kelvin Davis (9-0, 6 KOs) knocked out Derrick Whitley Jr. (7-4, 0 KOs) in round four. Time was 2:02. Davis is the brother of Olympian Keyshawn Davis.

The original main event between undefeated, world-ranked junior lightweight William Foster III and Fradimil Macayo was scrapped after Macayo fell ill.

Future Hall of Famer Nonito Donaire versus Alexandro Santiago for the vacant WBC bantamweight title will now take place on the July 29  Spence-Crawford PPV undercard at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Donaire-Santiago, which was originally scheduled to take place this Saturday on Showtime, will be the second fight of the pay-per-view.

In the telecast opener, super welterweight Sergio Garcia will now face Yoenis Tellez in a ten rounder. Garcia was originally scheduled to face Jesus Ramos Jr. However Ramos was forced to withdraw due to a hand injury.

The previously announced Gurgen Hovhannisyan vs. Viktor Faust bout was removed after Faust was forced to withdraw because of a back injury.

The Spence-Crawford pay-per-view also features lightweight Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz against Giovanni Cabrera in a WBC and WBA title eliminator in the co-main event.
