Light heavyweight contenders Robin Krasniqi and Dominic Bösel faced off at their final press conference before Saturday’s rematch at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany. Krasniqi kayoed Bösel for the WBA interim title in their first fight. The WBA has since done away with interim titles, so this bout will be a WBA eliminator. The IBO belt is also in play. A crowd of 5,000 will be allowed into the building. ARD will televise in Germany.

Robin Krasniqi: I have given everything for this fight. No one is as disciplined as I am in preparation, no vacation, no time off, nothing! On Saturday I will be at my best.

Dominic Bösel: If I mess up this fight again, I won’t be seen on the big boxing stage again. Anyway, there are no more excuses because I got through the preparation without a cold or injury.

In other action, German domestic heavyweight champion Peter Kadiru (11-0, 6 KOs) defends against Boris Estenfelder (11-2-1, 7 KOs) and cruiserweight Roman Fress (13-0, 8 KOs) defends his WBO Inter-Conti title against Luca D’Ortenzi (15-1, 4 KOs).

ESPN and FOX Sports announced the broadcaster assignments for Fury vs. Wilder III fight week with three former champions, veteran hosts and Hall of Famers set to call the action from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Three-time heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis returns with undefeated former two-division world champion Andre Ward to call ring action with veteran play-by-play announcer Brian Kenny on Saturday.

Cruiserweight Constantin Bejenaru (14-1, 4 KOs) takes on undefeated Ditlev “D-struct” Rossing (14-0, 9 KOs) on November 6 at the Brondby Hall on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. Bejenaru is coming off a long layoff since suffering his first professional loss in a fight for the WBA ‘super’ title against Arsen Goulamirian in December 2019.

The other headlining bout is an IBF female featherweight championship defense by Sarah Mahfoud. ‘Danish Fight Night, presented by Hall of Fame promoter Mogens Palle.

Undefeated lightweight sensation, Miguel “El Explosivo” Madueño (25-0, 23 KOs) will face Jose Luis “La Boa” Rodriguez (25-14-1, 13 KOs) in an eight round main event on October 22 at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California. The 22-year-old Madueño is coming off a tenth round TKO against Sonny Fredrickson on September 14 in front of a huge Trillerverz audience.

In the 8-round co-feature, Eros Correa (10-0, 7 KOs) will square off against Katsuma Akitsugi (6-0, 1 KO), in a battle of unbeaten super bantamweights.

This will be Thompson Boxing’s first show back at the Doubletree since the pandemic started.

Fury-Wilder Fight Week kicks off today in Las Vegas when WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former champ Deontay Wilder make their grand arrivals at the Toshiba Plaza outside T-Mobile Arena. Fans are invited to attend. Wilder arrives first at 5PM, with Fury scheduled for 5:30PM.

BetMGM lists Fury as a -275 favorite. Wilder backers can get +225.

The PPV price is $79.99.

Fury responded to Wilder’s cheating allegations Monday on The MMA Hour. “I had horseshoes in there,” admitted Fury. “You know I’m a gypsy, don’t you? … I loaded the gloves with horseshoes and dynamite. This time I’m going to do exactly the same. Put a bit more metal in there.”

Triller will still present a fight card on October 16 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but it won’t feature the lightweight title fight between undisputed champion Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos. The new headliner is Cletus ‘The Hebrew Hammer’ Seldin (25-1, 21 KOs) defending his NABA super lightweight title in a scheduled ten-rounder against William ‘Baby Face’ Silva (28-3, 16 KOs).

The card will shift from a full-fledged $49.99 pay-per-view to a $2.99 TrillerVerz Verzuz event that will feature reggae artist “Super Cat” after boxing concludes on Saturday, continuing on Sunday night with hip-hop legends “Big Daddy Kane” against KRS-One.

As for Lopez-Kambosos, Triller has thrown in the towel after five separate fight dates have fallen through.

WBA welterweight champion Jamal James (27-1, 12 KOs) and Radzhab Butaev (13-1, 10 KOs) will fight on Showtime October 30 at the Virgins Hotel in Las Vegas. The bout will be part of the WBA-mandated box-off to define a single champion at 147 pounds.

The winner of this fight will have to fight the winner of Yordenis Ugas vs. his mandatory challenger Eimantas Stanionis, who will fight for the super championship in the next few months. Once the box-off is over, there will be only one champion in the category.

“November 19, it’s me again,” said WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade. “Jason Quigley, world rated, good amateur pedigree, decent skills, comes to fight, and hats off to him, he’s actually willing to step in the ring with me, which you can’t say for any of these other so-called top guys. On November 19 though I show him that there are levels to this game.

WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (30-0 18 KOs) will top a world title quadruple-header as he defends Jason “El Animal” Quigley (19-1 14 KOs) at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday November 19, live worldwide on DAZN.

Three more world title fights in support of Andrade’s clash with Quigley are led by Murodjon Akhmadaliev (9-0 7 KOs) defending his IBF and WBA world super bantamweight titles against Ronny Rios (33-3 16 KOs).

The third world title fight pits Mexico vs. Puerto Rico and it’s the long-awaited showdown between Julio Cesar Martinez (18-1 14 KOs) and McWilliams Arroyo (21-4 16 KOs).

The fourth world title bout on the bill is the second step on the path to crowing an undisputed women’s champion at 140lbs as Kali Reis (18-7-1 5 KOs) takes on Jessica Camara (8-2, 0 KOs) for the WBA, IBO and vacant WBO straps.

Hall of Fame broadcaster Colonel Bob Sheridan, who has called the biggest fights since 1970, including the Rumble in the Jungle, Muhammad Ali v George Foreman, has decided to hang up the microphone for health reasons.

Former New South Wales State Boxing Commissioner Craig Waller has sadly passed away from bowel cancer at the age of 59 years after a long illness. Craig worked in boxing from 1997 until 2007 as a referee and judge. In 2008 he was appointed to the position of executive officer with the New South Wales Boxing Authority and retired from that position in 2017. Craig will be missed by his family and the Australian boxing fraternity.

35-year-old late bloomer, Japanese southpaw WBO#7, IBF#8, WBC#12 Ryoji Fukunaga (15-4, 14 KOs), 115, squeaked by previously unbeaten Hayate Kaji (15-1, 9 KOs), 114.75, on a hairline majority decision (115-113 twice, 114-114) over twelve hard-fought rounds to keep his three regional super-flyweight belts of Japan (JBC), OPBF and WBO Asia Pacific on Saturday in Tokyo, Japan. It was such a close affair that the interim tallies were announced after the fifth as 48-47 twice for the champ and 47-48 for the challenger. The 10 round middleweight main event Saturday night saw unbeaten Juan Manuel Taborda (16-0-1, 9 KOs) of Argentina draw with countryman Lucas Brian Ariel Bastida (17-1-1, 9 KOs). The action-packed bout saw both fighters have their moments and neither fighter seemed bothered by the decision. The official scores were 96-94 Bastida, 97-93 Taborda, and 95-95. Taborda retained his World Boxing Organisation Latino belt and Bastida kept his South American middle Title. TyC Sports televised the event.

Former IBF lightweight world champion Miguel “Titere” Vazquez (44-10, 17 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over former world title challenger Oliver “Trombita” Flores (30-4-2, 19 KOs) to claim the vacant WBA Fedelatin title on Saturday night at Verite Social Venue in Monterrey, Mexico. Flores was cut over the left eye in a round three head clash. As usual, Vazquez was busier, more mobile, and difficult to hit. Scores were 99-91, 96-94, 98-92.

After losing the lightweight title after a long run, Vazquez had been campaigning at super lightweight for six years. After a controversial loss to then-WBA #2 Lewis Ritson last year, Vazquez returned to the 135lb division where hs has gone 2-0 and currently hold a WBA #13 ranking.

Former world champion Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi (36-8, 7 KOs) outclassed TikToker Corey B over three one-sided rounds in a celebrity fight on Saturday night at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. Malignaggi was way faster, landed at will, and was rarely touched by any of B’s punches. B surprisingly managed to go the full distance. Paulie came in at 175 pounds.

In the main event, former NBA star Lamar Odom (Khloe Kardashian’s ex) defeated Ojani Noa (J Lo’s ex) by three round decision. Also, Javante “Holy God” Carter and “Wideneck” battled to a three round draw.

Florida heavyweight Brandon Moore (10-0, 6 KOs) scored a first round KO over local favorite Jesus Angel Nerio (15-10-1, 6 KOs) to retain his WBC USNBC title in the Vazquez-Flores co-feature at the Verite Social Venue in Monterrey, Mexico. Moore connected with a right hand that stunned Nerio, who mistakenly turned and let his guard down. Moore then lowered the boom with a crushing left hook. Time was 2:58.

Paulie Malignaggi fights TikToker Corey B tonight at the Celebrity Boxing event on FITE.tv. The main Event is Lamar Odom vs. J. Lo’s ex.

Paulie just gave Pete Hoffman at WFAN an interview about the fight tonight, saying, “I just think this whole TikTok generation decides they can box and maybe there’s a few brain cells missing. Trust me, the highlights from tonight will be one video Corey B doesn’t want to go viral!”

WBA Statement: The World Boxing Association (WBA) reiterates the reduction of titles as announced a few weeks ago. For this reason, all interim titles have been eliminated, the gold titles are now ranked in the 2nd position of our ranking and several eliminator fights have been announced.

Therefore, we want to clarify, that even if bouts are promoted as “interim titles,” they do not have the approval of our Championships Committee.

European welterweight champion David Avanesyan (28-3-1, 16 KOs) destroyed Liam Taylor (23-2-1, 11 KOs) in two rounds on Saturday night at the SSE Arena in London, England. After Avanesyan dropped Taylor in round one, they went toe-to-toe in round two. Taylor was rocked by an Avanesyan left hook and the bout was quickly waved off.

Unbeaten cruiserweight Richard Riakporhe (12-0, 10 KOs) took a hard fought eight round unanimous decision over Krzystof Twardowski (9-3, 6 KOs). Riakporhe floored Twardowski in round eight. The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) having raised concerns over Anatoli Muratov’s pre-fight medicals, he is now unable to fight in tonight’s bout with Chris Eubank Jr. at the SSE Arena, Wembley. With the remaining time frame allowing no possibility of finding a replacement opponent of suitable quality, Eubank will not be appearing on tonight’s card.

The European welterweight championship fight between David Avanesyan and Liam Taylor has been elevated to the top of the card.

Local MMA star “Psycho Pitbull” Si Jun Jin (1-0, 1 KO) of Korea won his boxing professional debut Friday night stopping Jae Woo Kim (3-2, 0 KOs) by way of fourth round TKO. The event took place at the Benekia Hotel in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. Jin, a kickboxer, is considered the best striker in Korean combats sports. Originally, Oscar Rivas and Bryant “Bye Bye” Jennings were scheduled to fight for the newly created WBC bridgerweight title (200-224 lbs.) at the Olympia Theater in Montreal, Canada. However, Jennings will no longer participate in that fight. The WBC reports that Jennings is unable to subject himself to the Canadian government’s entry requirements concerning COVID-19, or with the post-arrival mandatory quarantine.
