Boxing exhibition fever continued Friday with the return of “The Baby-faced Assassin” Marco Antonio Barrera (67-7, 44 KOs) against all-action brawler Jesus Soto-Karass (29-13-4, 18 KOs) at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena in Pico Rivera, California. Barrera and Soto-Karass boxed a six round exhibition with two-minute rounds and no headgear. After the fight, Barrera’s archrival Erik Morales entered the ring. They have an exhibition next month in Dallas.
Unbeaten lightweight Angel Rodriguez (9-0, 6 KOs) scored a third round KO over Bergman Aguilar (15-8-1, 5 KOs). Rodriguez dropped Aguilar four times.
Super welterweights Oleg Zubenko (3-1-1, 0 KOs) and Diego Padilla (1-2-1, 0 KOs) battled to a four round draw. Scores were 40-36 Padilla, 38-38 2x.
