WBC interim light heavyweight champion David “El Monstro” Benavidez held a Las Vegas media workout on Thursday before his showdown with fellow unbeaten star David Morrell Jr. on Saturday, February 1 on a Prime Video pay-per-view event from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
David Benavidez: “I’ve been in big fights since I was 20-years-old, so to be out there representing the Mexican and Mexican-American people on this stage, it’s everything I’ve wanted out of this sport. I have to show people that I’m the real ‘Mexican Monster’…the way I fight, I always try to take my opponents out. It doesn’t mean you always get it, but we’re definitely going to be pushing for it. David Morrell has made it personal for me. I’m glad he’s confident in himself. It’s all speculation until we get in there. On February 1, I’ll show why I’m at this level…right now I’m 100% focused on February 1. After that we can talk about getting all of those light heavyweight belts.”
This is show
They have to sell the fight
I know Benavides and morrel are cool
But is a fashion today make the fighters over reacting in order to sell the fight to the maximum
Very very few have been real feud boxing
Like morales vs Barrera
Tyson vs can’t remember who
Haney vs Ryan
Chavez vs haugen
And few more were a real rivalry
But Ryan likes to call people attention in order to have more followers in tik tok
But the rest and most of them is show
That’s why you see the same interaction in every single fight
And it makes sense they can’t be kissing each other because they might not awake people /fans attention
But regardless of this I can’t wait for this fight
Both great boxers
In their prime
Young
And full of skills
The only thing I didn’t like about this fight Benavides versus Morrell was the weigh division , I would like to see them at 168 pounds.
