A pair of showdowns featuring up-and-coming talent will highlight a two-fight PBC on Prime Video lineup on Saturday, February 1 leading up to the PBC Pay-Per-View event on Prime Video headlined by a clash between light heavyweights David “El Monstro” Benavidez and David Morrell Jr. from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The live-streaming of prelims action will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT and be available via free access to all fans, regardless of Prime membership or purchase of the PPV card it leads into.
The streaming presentation will feature undefeated Olympian featherweight Mirco Cuello (14-0, 11 KOs) taking on Christian Olivo (22-1-1, 8 KOs) in a 10-round featherweight matchup, plus WBA #1-ranked middleweight contender Yoenli Feliciano Hernandez (6-0, 6 KOs) stepping in against Angel Ruiz (18-3-1, 13 KOs) in a 10-round duel that opens up the live stream.
We’re about to witness the sequel to Casamayor VS JMM. (them kbns tend to taIk too much, Morrell is NOT the exception. He about to get a beating.
Let’s see. The outcome for me is unpredictable. Could be everything, from Morrell by stoppage to Benavidez by stoppage.
As of right now, I have it as a pick-em fight. I think it comes down to power and conditioning because the skills are there.
If Morell can get respect early, he can make David hesitate while racking up points as the fight goes along. If David is able to stay clear of the big shots in the first half of the fight, Morell will feel like he’s in the ocean during a bad storm down the stretch as he’s overwhelmed by punches.
Hard to pick a winner there depends who the better fighter on the night hopefully be televised ion ppv n Australia.
Morrell has better defense, better movement, better power & better overall boxing skill.
The only question I have is about his mental toughness.
The fact that he has been calling out Benavidez for years means that he thinks he can win.
Benavidez is tougher though IMHO.
I’d like to see Morrell win by KO, if for no other reason than just because I hate the idiotic trash talking so much, but I would not wager any money on it.
Morrell will prevail. This one won’t go past the 5th round!
