  • Nyika is 10 fights old.

Can’t say he’s faced any real tough opposition. At least eight of his ten fights have been against opponents you go up against to get nice numbers.

Karpency is the most famous person Nyika has faced. That fight didn’t mean anything either as Karpency had been knocked out several times before and was around 38 years old at the time.

In addition, I see in Nyika a boxer who is quite stiff, doesn’t have the best footwork, isn’t hard to hit, and even though he has the height and physique, he is far from ready to face a fighter like Opetaia.

  • this looks more like the title of Oceana than a world title. is this really the best fighter than he could find at this time. After the last Breidas fight, a man who had not fought in nearly 2 years or so, Why is he not trying to fight the best in his division?

  • Looking at the comments, it appears most are overlooking David’s chances. But Jai isn’t. He knows how good David is.
David is a two time Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Olympic bronze medallist in Tokyo. 6’6″. Solid puncher.
I am hoping for a crushing win for Jai. But David is a far better rival than Jai’s original opponent who pulled out due to injury.
