Promoter Frank Warren has announced that 85,000 tickets were sold in just three hours for the April 23 clash at London’s massive Wembley Stadium between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte. Warren says he has submitted an application to the local authorities to extend the allowed capacity to 100,000! Fury is returning to the UK after five consecutive bouts in the US. It is his first fight in London in over seven years.
Warren commented: “I always imagined that this fight wouldn’t be a hard sell so I am happy we opted to stage it in the biggest and best venue in the UK.
