  • Zurdo’s tactic is to weigh in & then gain 30 lbs in 24 hours, thus outweighing his opponent by at least 25 lbs. If Zurdo were to fight Dimitri & have to weigh in the morning of the fight, then the Russian wins easily! At 204 lbs, Zurdo is the first light heavyweight in boxing history to outweigh the all-time great heavyweights, Joe Louis & Jack Dempsey!!!

  • Wow, I have deep concerns about Zurdo weighing over 200 pounds on fight night because it is a form of weight bullying (pretty sure it is on purpose).

However, if Zurdo continues to make weight (175) under the controlling boxing rules, then opponents will need to find a strategy(ies) to defeat a huge Zurdo at 200+ pounds (on fight night)…unfortunately.

  • I really can’t stand this PED using, bum beating weight bully who has yet to fight a single notable fighter in his long career. Hey moron, Bivol did it duck you to fight Canelo in a super fight. He simply had more important things to do. I hope Bivol doesn’t fight him next and Ramirez has to fight somebody like Callum Smith who would certainly knock him cold.

    • Chris, man you sure have some name calling to throw out there. Take a chill pill.

  • Wow, weighing in over 200 lbs? That makes sense, because he always looked so much bigger than his weight class, especially at 168. Has he always done this? He’s lucky the fight only went 4 rounds because that drains a fighter in the later rounds and fighters are more susceptible to brain injury after draining and rehydrating like that. He should consider a move up to Cruiserweight.

  • They need to go back to weigh-ins on the morning of the fights. When I fought we weighed in the day of the fight.
