Boy, Roy in his prime had some exceptional reflexes as a fighter. Roy’s athleticism combined with his power, speed, and agility made him one tough fighter. Yes, time catches up with everyone, but make no mistake, Roy was one-of-a-kind fighter back in the heyday. Roy’s style of fighting even baffled James Toney in his prime when I thought Toney would get the best of him.

When at his peak, he was so good
James Toney was a better technical boxer than Roy Jones Jr., but Roy’s amazing speed nullified the skills that Toney brought to the table. Never seen a fighter with such an advantage in speed, especially the hand speed of Roy Jones Jr.
