At today’s press conference in Toyko, Japan, for the big world title tripleheader on Monday headlined by Ryota Murata vs. Steven Butler, Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum dropped some big news.

Arum, who is co-promoting the event with fellow Hall of Famer Akihiko Honda, mentioned to promoter Peter Maniatis that “possibly a fight card will be lined up with Jeff Horn vs. Tim Tszyu and IBF world champion Jerwin Ancajas vs. Andrew Moloney in Australia. April or May 2020 in a Sydney or Brisbane venue not confirmed yet.” Arum said this would be a massive event for Australian boxing with Top Rank and USA TV involved.

  • Horn will have to wait for the outcome of the protest by Zerafa before he looks elsewhere. There will be a third fight between those two before anything else.

    • Owen, it does not matter what the result of the protest by Zerafa is. Horn will be fighting Tszyu.

    • There is going to be no change of decision horn won fair and square . Some people
Have no idea and your 1 of them.

  • I think Arum should try to get Zerafa a big fight in Japan for half of the money he would have made against Murata. (the winner of Shinobu Charlie Hosokawa vs Kazuto Takesako for OPBF middleweight title). Horn was really close to being stopped on cuts vs Zerafa, or TKO’d on his feet. If that ref didn’t stop the fight for the doctor to use gauze and pressure that cut for 10 seconds (at the 1:12 point of round 9), the blood would have been so bad the ref may have waved it off. Horn is kind of like that fighter from the UK that fought Hagler back in 1980, Alan Minter (always bleeding all over the place from deep cuts). Horn needs more time between fights to let cuts heal. His stamina is probably a bit suspect because of bleeding out from the early rounds, and his style is extra busy, so anyone would be tired after 6 or 7 rounds. Horn is a 154 lbs kind of guy, not 160. Tszyu will give him problems, maybe he has a big edge.

  • Horn won the lottery when Bob Arum aka Satan paid off the judges when Horn LOST to Pacquiao but gave him the win. Therefore Horn needs to make the best of these next fights.

  • Jeff will make the fool out of Tim
