WBC silver middleweight champion Sam Eggington (31-7, 18 KOs) retained his title with a hard fought split decision over previously undefeated Bilel Jkitou (15-1, 6 KOs) on Friday night at the Coventry SkyDome Arena in Coventry, England. It was a slugfest from start to finish with Eggington prevailing on two cards 117-111 and 117-112. Jkitou was ahead on the third card 116-112.

Close fight, all of the scorecards were way off imo, a draw would have been fair as would a close decision, but Jesus, as a Brit I’m ashamed of the scoring in this country in the last few years!
