Female lightweight Caroline Dubois (8-0, 5 KOs) claimed the IBO title with a ferocious 10 round war with a tough Magali Rodriguez (22-7-4, 9 KOs). Dubois dominated the scorecards to a unanimous decision victory (98-89, 97-90, 99-88) at the historic York Hall in London. Rodriguez down multiple times.
Cruiserweight Viddal Riley (10-0, 6 KOs) claimed the English title with a 100-90 3x victory over a fellow unbeaten Nathan Quarless (12-1, 0 KOs).
In an upset, heavyweight Igor Macedo (12-1, 12 KOs) defeated previously unbeaten Jeamie TKV (5-1, 3 KOs) by TKO due to a horrific cut in round six.
She has some work to do — she should, she’s only 22 — but if she continues along like this, I think Dubois has a shot at taking over 135 once Katie Taylor calls it a day.
