British heavyweight contender Daniel Dubois (17-1, 16 KOs) make his U.S. debut in style, knocking down Juiseppe Angelo Cusumano (19-4, 17 KOs) three times en-route to a first-round stoppage. Dubois landed nearly everything he threw on the overmatched Cusumano, who was finished off by a barrage of punches 2:10 into the fight.
“You don’t get paid for overtime,” said Dubois. “I had a great performance and had the best training camp ever. I want to fight for a world title. I want to fight the best. It’s going to come soon. Whoever’s next. I want to fight for a world title.”
I’m wondering if there is anyway that the WBA disturbs Don King and orders Trevor Bryan to fight Dubois.
Dubois’team needs to slow down! Yes good fight to get his confidence back up but go a full 10-12 hard rds first before talking that talk! Coffie with losing his last fight would be good test to see where both fighters could go ,could kick the crap outta each other and both look marketable again or one will move to onto greater challenges if they mop other guy up! Good to see a fighter that was down that’s back up again!
To me he needs to step up in competition in his next two fights then why not fight for a world title.
Dubois is going down the same path again, just like Yarde. They fight a lot of unknown bums, then hope to get a shot at the title, a shot that they will be found not ready for.
No rematch with Joe Joyce? Of course not, would be same result with DDD quitting
Strange how the WBA ranks Dubois as number 1 contender but doesn’t rank Joe Joyce at all.I’ve asked them for an explanation but am still waiting!
