Carlos Adames Post Fight Press Conference

Middleweight Carlos Adames (22-1, 17 KOs) talked about his win over Juan Macias Montiel (23-6-2, 23 KOs) in the co-feature bout. It was a devastating stoppage as Adames was landing the heavier punches, staggering and finishing off Montiel in the third round. Here is what he said about his highlight reel stoppage.

This guy looks pretty good, Montiel might want to find a new job. Looks like he has no idea and throwing zero punches in round 1 must be some kind of record. Adames has a loss to Teixeira which doesn’t look good on anyone’s record, didn’t watch that fight but hoping he has made adjustments and improved. Throw him in with Charlo, surely he would do better then Montiel

Adames looked good and will not get the two top guys at middleweight. GGG isn’t going to fight some young hungry tiger as he’s going to stay active fighting C level mandatories. Same goes for Mall who is content with fighting low level opposition and call out bluffing to get some attention. It’s a division of wasted talent.
