WBO #1 light middleweight Tim Tszyu says he’s disappointed that IBF, WBA, WBC light middleweight champion Jermell Charlo rejected his offer to replace injured WBO champion Brian Castano, but said he still plans to fight in the USA in March. “[Charlo] calls himself a lion, but he’s a little pussy cat, that’s all he is,” Tszyu told Foxsports.com.au. “There could be political stuff involved with it, but my main concern is to fight and not to sit around.”
He also stated, “March 19 is done. I will fight the same opponent [Terrell Gausha] the following weekend on a different show. I told the boys (promoters George and Matt Rose) to make it happen and I’m just waiting for a date. I’m just ready to go to America, that’s where I’ve always been dreaming about so I want to have a quality opponent in America.”
Charlos a god damn pussy! The fight he was training for is off…that’s cool the next big dog in the ranks wants a piece and there ain’t no bark now tzyu Charlo would probably sell equal to Castano Charlo so $$$ ain’t the issue here. Right here we are gonna see a so called champion pussy out of a real fight!

Gary- its because he was supposed to fight Gausha but since it looks like the show is getting cancelled because Mel doesnt wanna fight, hes moving his fight to another show and still gonna face Gausha

Charlo should fight Charles Conwell, the best junior middleweight contender in the world. Conwell killed a man in the ring, so it’s no surprise neither Charlo nor Tszyu will ever want to fight him.

I read something that said that Castano would only need to postpone 3-4 weeks. If they end up fighting by early May-ish at the latest, then I don’t blame Charlo for passing on Tim.
Thats how long it will take for Castano to clear the PEDs from his system. He’s juicing the same as Canelo, Ruiz, Garcia, Valdez, etc. This why Canelo decides late who he is gonna fight so that VADA is not around to test. Canelo popped dirty before and learned. Its obvious at this point. Castano not injured just need extra time to make sure he dont pop.
Does not VADA also take completely random tests? Not only in connection with a fight? If not. They should.
I can’t remember which interview, but Victor Conte(former BALCO big dog) broke down how the tests are executed and circumvented. It’s not a reliable system.
VADA WADA and company appear to be about 3 steps behind the science (maybe on purpose), so it will be hard to catch a high profile fighter/athlete when they’re dirty.
The Canelo result was a freak accident.
They do actually. Its at random. This is why Charlo got so much criticisms last time. He didnt let Vada know where they were going to be and he got randomed and cldnt take the test. Dont believe the hype that its not Random. Besides, its Voluntary. If they dont wanna take it, they dont have to.
I can’t disagree at all. The system is being well played and worked around regularly. We know peds are a huge problem in boxing and this camp doesn’t try to hide it with their amazing physical transformations.
Tsyzu knows damn well he doesn’t really want that fight. He’s selling wolf tickets. He has to bring his ass to the states first to show that he’s serious.

Tszyu’s buggin. Stay in your lane, youngin. Charlo and Castano got unfinished business to take care of. I heard its happening in June. Gausha is a good test for you at this juncture.
I fully understand that Charlo prioritizes Castano. Tszyu does his part to show what he wants while he’s adding spice to that fight.

Charlo is a pretender. If he was a legitimate fighter, or even a good fighter, he would’ve welcomed the challenge of facing Tszyu. Instead, he wants handpicked opponents. Just a modern-day gimmicky mediocre, who relies on hype to make money, fighting as seldom as is tolerated. A true modern day watered-down fighter. So pathetic and disappointing.
The great Sugar Ray Robinson fought tough Jake LaMotta six times. The second time the two fought, LaMotta beat Robinson. They fought again three weeks later, with Ray avenging that loss in winning by UD. Ray never again lost to LaMotta. This is greatness. Ray often fought tough opponents in consecutive fights. I really miss this level of greatness in the sport.
Like Canelo for example ?! Who’s waiting great fighters to age before he finally fights them ?!

This is posturing. Tszyu has a fight. Charlo’s fight with Castano is still on just postponed. No way in hell Charlo is risking a unification by taking Tszyu as a late sub. This Charlo is the better fighter out of the both of them too. Tszyu is biting off more than he can Cszyu. Charlo will handle him, i believe fairly easily too.
