WBA “regular” welterweight champion Eimantas Stanionis has confirmed on social media that on Friday he underwent emergency appendectomy surgery. As a result, his March 18 clash against Vergil Ortiz in Dallas is postponed.
“Yesterday I had emergency appendectomy surgery. 2-3 weeks off the gym now. Fight is postponed. We are hoping for April now,” wrote Stanionis on Twitter.

BUT…still no word from Jermook Charlo, holder of the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF titles at 154 pounds, although the dead-line that he was given to provide proof of his injury by January 2, 2023 has come and gone.
Not a peep from those who set that dead-line, and not a peep from Jermook Charlo either.
If he was injured for real, I will apologize, but if he is just another duck-dancer PBC Al Hayman stooge, I say, “strip em”, and let’s get back to the business of boxing.”
Obviously you guys got a hard-on for “Jermook “. and Al Haymon.
Thats why I support these champions (Haney, Stevenson, Charlo, Andrade, etc.) because they get the most hate.
And it has nothing to do with their Boxing ability.

Another point id like to make is; Camp is expensive. If that check don’t come because the postponement of a fight, sparring partners, camp managers, dietitians, strength trainers, etc. still have to be paid. No pro fighter is faking. That’s soap opera nonsense.
