Rozicki returns March 19

Canadian promoter Dan Otter of Three Lions Promotions will present an event on March 19th at the Hamilton Convention Centre, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The main event will feature Brandon Brewer (21-1-1, 11 KOs) taking on fellow Canadian and unbeaten Antonio Napolitano (5-0, 3 KOs). The bout is scheduled for 10 rounds and with vacant World Boxing Council United States (USNBC) middle title at stake.

The eight round co-feature will have the return of former world title challenger Ryan Rozicki (13-1, 13 KOs) vs Mexico’s German Garcia (7-3, 7 KOs). Rozicki fought valiently this past October as the underdog dropping a close decision to the heavily favored Oscar Rivas for the newly vacant WBC bridgerweight title. The Rozicki-Garcia fight has both fighters entering with 100% KO ratios in their perspective wins.

“With the Covid 19 restrictions being relaxed over the last month, we are beyond excited to have pro boxing back in Canada. We have four more shows booked for this calendar year, so being back in business is an incredible feeling,” stated Otter. “Both Brewer and Napolitano are eager to get back in the ring and with the WBC USNBC middleweight title on the line, this fight is sure to be a crowd pleaser.”

  • Rozicki impressed against Rivas so I’m interested in what he does going forward. He just turned 27, hopefully he goes back down to cruiser and maybe he can make a run. I don’t think he’s good enough to beat Briedis, Dorticos, Makabu, Goulamirian etc., but those guys are getting up there (Dorticos’ bday is today, he’s 36) so maybe he in a year or two, it’s a different story. Hope he does well.
