Olympic gold medallist and unbeaten heavyweight Bakhodir Jalolov (9-0, 9 KOs) has signed a co-promotional deal with Probellum and DiBella Entertainment. Standing at 6’7, the huge punching Jalolov – known as the ‘Big Uzbek’ – fights Kamil Sokolowski over eight rounds on March 18 in Dubai.
Other Probellum signings include unbeaten super bantamweight Carl Jammes Martin (18-0, 15 KOs) and featherweight contender Jazza Dickens (30-4, 11 KOs).
Richard Sheaffer has got deep pockets
I’m thinking a lot of these contracts are for one or two years tops. You’re probably not going to sign Donnie Nietes, Ricky Burns or Badou Jack to long terms deals.
I think this one is a pretty good investment for the future. Jalolov is very mechanical and he needs quite a bit of work, but I think he’s a legit hard puncher and he’s only 27 which is pretty young for a heavyweight. In 3-4 years he COULD have a chance at a title.
