Rolly vows to KO Tank in one

By TMZ.com

“Tank’s gonna knocked the f*** out. And, whoever believes otherwise can go f*** themselves.” That’s 26-year-old, undefeated rising boxing star Rolando Romero — aka Rolly — declaring that he will not only beat Gervonta Davis when they fight December 5 in Los Angeles, but Tank will get flatlined within 3 minutes!!!

It’s an incredibly bold prediction … especially considering most experts have picked Davis to beat the very talented Romero.

But, Rolly — who we spoke with leaving Wilder-Fury 3 — is adamant he isn’t just running his mouth … he believes he’s got a size and power advantage.

“The best thing about Tank is that he’s a puncher, and I’m a bigger puncher and bigger person. What the f*** does he have?” Rolly tells us.

“I punch way harder than him. Ask anyone that knows us both. They’ll tell you straight up.”

Of course, Tank is known as one of the hardest punchers, pound-for-pound, in the entire sport. All but 1 of his 25 wins are by knockout … and the uppercut he dropped Leo Santa Cruz with is one of the most devastating punches of all time.

But, Rolly’s power definitely isn’t anything to scoff at … all but 2 of his 14 wins are also by KO.

So, Romero’s prediction?!?

“I’m gonna knock him the f*** out.”

When?!?

“One round. He’s gonna run into something because he’s stupid.”

  • Boy, bold prediction riding the confidence train! Guess this is one way to get exposure for a matchup.

  • Tank has came a long way from the Mayweather gym war days. I see him just punishing Rolly. Easy nights work.. Romero cracks me up though for some reason. Be nice if he caught Tank but I don’t see that happening. Gervonta is to polished now.Davis KO3. Big Bodyshot.

  • Rolly is a joke. He was gifted a victory against
Jackson Marinez. Tank is going to stop Rolly
inside of six rounds. This is going to easy work
    for Tank. Next.

  • Rolly hits hard, so he does have a puncher’s chance, but I favor Tank, especially the longer the fight goes on.

  • Rolly is going to roll to the canvas when he faces THE TANK.

    Speaketh … FJB.
    Fredrick J. Brandon III.

  • I used to have a lot of respect for Romero but then he opened his mouth. This guy has absolutely no clue what respect means. A BIG mouth who got a gift decision in his bogus belt winning performance thanks to incompetent paid off judges.

I’m no fan of Davis but I’m pulling for him to knock this lame ass loud mouth out then we will see who’s the stupid prick for walking right into something big. I’m gonna laugh my ass off if and when that happens.

  • HAHAHA nobody believes this, not even Rolly. I’m not mad at him. He’s suppose to say these things. We all know Rolly will be looking up at the lights and we’ll never heard about him again. He had so much potential.

  • This might be a good fight. I will watch. Boxing needs good interesting matchups like this. I hope this is a war.

  • This guy will really be the first fighter that is as big or bigger than tank, except for Barrios, that is coming to take him out. Davis has yet to fight anyone with Romero’s level of confidence. This should be interesting if not exciting.

  • Davis is special…good fighter …what makes Davis special , in addition to his boxing skill, is that he has been tested and Davis has developed an incredible will to win…add that with his power…makes Davis quite special….He can be out boxed but you have to survive that power…Hagler style fighter with same weakness.able to be outboxed. If Davis stays focus, I don’t see him getting beat by anyone 140 and below….

  • Double R doesn’t run his mouth. His mouth runs him. Until it gets busted vs Gervonta. RR’s resume is suspect, none of his opponents are top 20-50.
At 2nd look I see it’s a TMZ article so consider the source. All hype.

  • Whatever Romero is or isn’t, we have to stop supporting guys with big mouths cussing up a storm and making the sport look like a bunch of fools on the playground. Gervonta Davis has grown from a raw, media shy kid into a young man with class and purpose and we don’t need Romero dragging it all back to the gutter. Tank in seven but I hope sooner and then what will Rolly say?
