WBC#2 Bell dings Carcosia, stays unbeaten

Undefeated WBO #2, WBC #10 super featherweight “Prince” Albert Bell (24-0, 7 KOs) stopped Presco “Iceman” Carcosia (11-3-1, 9 KOs) after five one-sided rounds on Friday night at the OTE Arena in Atlanta. Bell was too quick and too slick for Carcosia. Bell dropped Carcosia in round five and Carcosia’s corner kept him on his stool after the round. With the win, Bell claimed the WBC OTX title.

Bell will now be heading to Las Vegas to see the clash between WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete and Oscar Valdez as he is in line to fight the winner.

Middleweight Tyler “Hercules” Howard (20-1, 11 KOs) edged Raul “Money” Salomone (12-2, 10 KOs) over eight rounds. Howard dropped Salomone in round one and that was the difference. Scores were 76-76, 76-75, 76-75.

  • A few of the winners looked like complete a-holes with their moronic victory dances right over top of their opponents. Try acting like it’s not the first time you’ve won.

    • Only saw Bell’s fight, and in that case I agree that what he did was way over the top. D*ck move for sure.

  • Bell was not cool. Although his record does not reflect punching power, I will keep my eyes open during his chase for a title(s).
