Famed boxing referee and judge Armando Garcia, who has worked world championship bouts all over the world, has updated his Professional Boxing Referee Manual. Here is the link to the latest update.
“It is 100% free,” said Garcia. “I am not looking for any benefit. I’m hoping it can be made available to the boxing world for greater discussion and understanding.”
Where’s the part about only accepting cash gratuities under the table?
That is to say only accept your “gratuities” under the table and in cash only.
This guy ruined boxing in California, I wouldn’t read anything he writes
He got kicked out of California in disgrace, and hasn’t been heard from in years. so now he pops up with a “manual” for Officials?! (“I’m not looking for any benefit”) What a money grabbing joke!!!
(November 12, 2008) 15rounds.com’s Michael Swann has reported the reason behind California State Athletic Commission Executive Officer Armando Garcia’s resignation is sexual harassment.
Garcia’s office has reportedly already been cleared out and he had the option of resigning or be fired.
The sexual harassment claim was filed by office technician Lily Galvez.
Swann also reports on Garcia’s allegedly violating the 1996 Professional Boxing Act, collecting travel claim advances, accepting gifts, and informing outside sanctioning body representatives of fight scores in the middle of the bouts.
Appears he would work well with Suleiman.
