The Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya was in Arlington, Texas to promote Zepeda-Arboleda on DAZN and shared his thoughts on his star Ryan Garcia after his tough loss to Tank Davis last weekend, his lunch with David Benavidez, and much more!

Oh that Oscar, he’s as cocky and full of himself as ever. It takes a fighter to know what fighters want….that’s pretty good bs if I do say so myself. “I’ve promoted Ryan and made him a star.” “I’ve promoted Canelo and made him a star.” He has a team at Golden Boy, right? Maybe his backing team at Golden Boy had something to do with it, not just him. Then again, being a promoter isn’t for modest folk, so he’s right at home.

To be fair, Oscar has become exactly what he was supposed to be against. He’s not very different than any of the other promoters. Truthfully he’s technically just a figure head for GBP.
