Former world champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (36-6-1, 20 KOs) is ready to step up in competition. “In 2020 I want to step up and fight any of the big names at welterweight,” said Guerrero. “I wouldn’t mind stepping in the ring with Mikey Garcia, who I think is one of the best fighters in boxing. I’ve always respected Mikey and I think that would be a good fight for the fans. Manny Pacquiao is another big name that I can see myself fighting. I also wouldn’t mind doing a rematch with Danny Garcia. Continue reading “Ghost Guerrero targets Mikey, Pacman and Swift”

Crawford comments on boycott by rivals

The name of unbeaten WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford is rarely mentioned by the other top welterweights and promoters. Some networks won’t even acknowledge he exists. Why? Crawford is aligned with Top Rank. His chief welterweight rivals are aligned on ‘the other side of the street’ with PBC. Fights between boxers of the two organizations do happen, but only occasionally.

WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn talk about what’s in the future now that AJ recaptured his world championships against Andy Ruiz Jr on Saturday at the Diriyah Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Anthony Joshua

On fighting Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury:

“What can I say? I have been speaking about these guys a long time. You see this time, when I had the opportunity to just focus solely on Andy, my head is in the right place. When Wilder, Fury, Ortiz and Usyk are really ready, they will make the call. Until then, I respect them. I won’t continue to call them out. I am making my own lane and if they want to be a part of that, they will call. Ruiz did it and created a legacy. If those guys want to do it, they can create a legacy too. Look at all I have done, come on. When I call them out and do all of that, I lose focus.” Continue reading “AJ: Wilder, Fury, Ortiz, Usyk will call when ready”
