Aussie champ Huni rushed to hospital

By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing

Australian heavyweight champion Justis Huni is in the hospital with what is suspected to be appendicitis after his win last Friday night against Kiki Toa Leutele. “We’re at emergency now,” Huni’s father Rocki told Fox Sports. “And I’m thinking appendicitis. He initially had severe stomach cramps on Sunday. We thought it might have been something he ate.”

  • First test to order is a CT scan of the abdomen. If appendicitis, pretty straight forward procedure with laparoscopy as long as not extensive infection. Recovery time is acceptable for a return to the ring in due time.

  • Hopefully they caught it in time because it could get fatally infected. Prayers to Huni and Family.

  • I can see why he stayed away from Kiki, sort of got exposed. He got wobbled quite a bit but Kiki had an iron jaw
