Shot of the Day
While boxing in the USA is paralyzed by coronavirus hysteria, Matchroom Boxing held a kick-off press conference in London for the May 23 clash between heavyweights Oleksandr Usyk and Derek Chisora taking place at The O2 Arena.
The show will be shown live on Sky Sports Box office in the UK and DAZN in the US.

Eddie sure aint stopping the money from coming in. The show must go on. Meanwhile my hometown is stopping events and many of us bartenders are hurting with major cuts in hours. The local arena has canceled audiences to attend. We already feeling it, we got bills to pay too. There will be a lot of good working people becoming desperate if this keeps up.

I am working insane overtime right now since I work in a hospital. I am camping out in an office with my personal laptop. I have already been exposed based off testing, but my symptoms are mild. However, a few patients are not doing so well. Most folks will have mild symptoms, but a few will have critical side effects. Go to the CDC.gov for frequent updates on viral information.

I got Usyk all day long in this one.

I’m very curious how Usyk will do in the heavy division. I’m suspecting very well….

Bob, I think since the heavyweight division is so vast in terms of skill, size, and styles, I think Usyk will do fine with most opponents. My concern are the big hitters like AJ, Fury, and yes, even Wilder, who do not punch like a cruiser weight where Usyk came from. Usyk is an accumulative puncher and not a one-punch KO artist. Usyk’s test will be fighting bigger men who can take his punch and can counter with harder punches. This division brings a whole new dimension to Usyk’s mountain to climb. Exciting? Yes, this is a whole new concept to examine and witness.

Id like to think by the time this fight happens, the Coronavirus scare will be in the rear view mirror and we will all come out relatively unscathed! It’s a setback for everyone, but pretty soon we will have recovered and we will watch Usyk dismantle the all ways dangerous and tough as nails Chisora!
