Narvaez fails to get 50th win

44-year-old former two-division world champion Omar Narvaez (49-4-4, 25 KOs) lost a ten round split decision against journeyman Pablo Gomez (12-10-2, 1 KO) in a bantamweight fight on Saturday night at the Club Sportivo America in Rosario, Argentina. Scores were 96-94, 97-93 for Gomez, 96-94 for Narvaez. In his prime, Narvaez defended his flyweight and super flyweight world titles 29 times.
