Cruiserweight Anthony Martinez (10-1, 9 KOs) from Florida, USA, successfully defended his WBO Latino title by stopping Dominican challenger Christian Galvez (18-8, 16 KOs) at 1:28 of the second round, in the main event of the Night of Knockouts card promoted by The King of Boxing Promotions and Mundo Boxing in Hotel Catalonia, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Local lightweight prospect Francis Villar Frometa (14-0, 9 KOs) scored a three round stoppage victory over Colombian Stiven Monterrosa (13-6-2) to remain unbeaten.
Puerto Rican lightweight Luis Saul “Zurdo” Rosario (14-1-1, 9 KOs) demolished Colombian Luis Carrillo (18-7-1) at the end of the very first round.
After losing two fights in a row, Dominican featherweight Ranfis Javier Encarnación (18-2, 14 KOs) went back to the winners’ circle by beating Colombian Mauricio Martinez (15-21-2, 5 KOs) who didn’t answer to the bell to start the third round.
In a fight between two Colombian supermiddles, Roamer Alexis Angulo (27-2, 23 KOs) won by TKO in 6 over Carlos Galvan (17-11-1, 6 KOs).
In the only female bout of the evening, featherweight Stefanie Cohen (1-0) from Miami, USA, successfully debuted with a TKO over Colombian Haydee Zapa (3-5).
Supermiddle Anthony Concepcion (6-0, 5 KOs) , also from Miami, stopped local Jose Hernandez Vasquez in round 1.
Ioannis “The Greek Freak” Birmpilis (6-1, 3 KOs) won by TKO in 1 over Dominican Carlos Isaias Delgado (0-2).
