Martinez stops Rosales for WBC flyweight title

In a clash for the vacant WBC flyweight title Julio Cesar “El Rey” Martinez (15-1, 12 KOs) scored a brutal ninth round TKO over former world champion Cristofer “El Latigo” Rosales (29-5, 20 KOs) on Friday night at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona.

The aggressive Martinez broke down Rosales round by round with a relentless assault. The beating was finally waved off in round nine with Rosales taking shots on the ropes. Time was 1:19.

    • Ive watched him and WBA title holder Artem Dalakian. Thats a unification fight if ever there was one.
