In a hastily made fight, comebacking light heavyweight Peter “The Pride of Providence” Manfredo Jr. (42-7-2, 23 KOs) scored a bizarre and unsatisfying fourth round TKO over Milton Nunez (37-23-1, 32 KOs) on Saturday night inside Foxwoods Resort Casino’s historic Fox Theater in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
The bout was abruptly and inexplicably halted by Nunez’ corner much to the surprise of both Nunez and Manfredo. Time was 1:39. It was a competitive fight up to that point with Manfredo rebounding after being rocked and arguably knocked down in round one. Manfredo called the stoppage “terrible.”
The 38-year-old former “Contender: Season One” star and two-time world title challenger Manfredo returned from a three-and-a-half-year retirement with a 79 second KO just two weeks ago.
Super featherweight Irvin Gonzalez (13-2, 9 KOs) scored a first round TKO over Omar Etheridge (3-3-1, 3 KOs). Gonzalez dropped Etheridge three times in round one and the bout was halted after the round.
Super bantamweight Yeuri Andujar (5-2, 3 KOs) scored a six round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Nathan Martinez (6-1, 2 KOs). Scores were 58-56, 58-56, 59-55
Female super featherweight Marcia Agripino (4-2-1, 0 KOs) outscored Michelle Cook (1-2-1, 0 KOs) over six. Scores were 58-56, 59-55, 58-56.

Manfredo needs to give it up. He must be bored, need money, or simply missing the attention being a pro-fighter. If anything, he is risking his health for what little is left in the tank unless he keeps fighting sub-par competition to make himself look good.
This fight was a step up in class for him.And there is nothing wrong with a man,who works hard, and wants to do things for his family, not himself.
