Former IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute has announced his retirement at the age of 39. Bute compiled a 32-5 record with 27 KOs after beginning his career with 30 consecutive wins and defending his world title nine times. His final fight was a KO loss to Eleider Alvarez two years ago. Bute was a big attraction in Montreal, fighting at the Bell Centre 21 times.
