Fighters featured on the DAZN broadcast on April 9th, treated San Antonio boxing fans to a show as they showed off their boxing skills during their media workout Wednesday. Things heated up between lightweights Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) and Emmanuel “The Gameboy” Tagoe (32-1, 15 KOs), who meet in the main event.

Ryan Garcia: “Tagoe is a veteran, he is going to try his best to keep me off of him, to survive. His goal, I think, is to not get knocked out. I know he has been saying that facing me will be easy. But I can say one thing, my job is to not make his life easy in that ring. Fans should be ready to see me give this fight everything I got. If he can take a shot, it will be a good fight. If he can’t, he will be out of there very quick.”

Emmanuel Tagoe: “I came here to knock out Ryan Garcia. I think he’s good but he’s not my size. I can’t wait for Saturday. I’m going to show everyone…I come to win with a knockout or no knockout. I waited for this opportunity. To all of Garcia’s fans watch out for Saturday.”

Also on hand were super middleweights “King” Gabriel Rosado (26-14-1, 15 KOs) and Shane Mosley Jr. (17-4, 10 KOs), who face off in the co-main event.

Gabriel Rosado: “I got to be part of his father’s training camp when he went against Margarito. But at the end of the day, it’s business, we’re in the hurt business. This is what we do. We’re going to do our thing and I’m going for the knockout. It’s just perseverance. Not listening to what people have to say.”

Shane Mosley Jr: “I can’t wait to get in the ring with Gave Rosado. I’m definitely going to show everyone what I’m made of. I’m really focused.”

  • – I give Gabe all the credit in the world.
    – Always comes to fight and gives it his all, win, lose, or draw.

    • Does have a lot of miles on him and not sure he should be more than a 2-1 favorite. In his prime probably wins easily but maybe not now. I like Mosley at +225.

  • I hope Kingry has improved on his head movement and defense with his trainers. Yes, he has fast hands on the offense, but his defense was rather anemic when he fought Campbell which provided us clues more urgent work needs to be done or it may cost him against a quality opponent.

  • If Tagoe is competitive in this fight, it’ll be a surprise to me. He barely got by Mason Menard in his last fight and that was a year and a half ago.

  • Queenky needs to step up his game, this poor opposition matches just to look invinsible are tearing up apart his credibility as a so-call top contender! De la chocha needs to stop the bullishh and get this child a real fight!
