Showtime, DAZN, and ESPN will go mano a mano with three simultaneous telecasts on Saturday.
Showtime presents Erickson Lubin vs. Sebastian Fundora in a terrific clash for the WBC interim super welterweight title from Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas. The all-super welterweight card also includes Tony Harrison vs. Sergio Garcia, and Kevin Salgado vs. Bryant Perrella.
DAZN counters with the return of Kingry. Lightweight star Ryan Garcia meets Emmanuel Tagoe from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Also, popular super middleweight “King” Gabriel Rosado faces Shane Mosley Jr. on the telecast.
ESPN leads with WBO/IBF female junior lightweight champion Mikaela Mayer against Jennifer Han at The Hangar at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. Welterweight Giovani Santillan faces Jeovanis Barraza in the co-feature. There is also a strong undercard on ESPN+ with both Maloney brothers, Jason Moloney and Andrew Moloney, IBF #1 featherweight Luis Alberto “El Venado” Lopez, and Olympic silver medalist Duke Ragan.
The biggest fight of the day, however, takes place on DAZN in the early morning hours when Gennady Golovkin faces Ryota Murata in an IBF/WBA middleweight unification clash from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
I have DAZN but from my understanding I still have to pay $14 -15 to order the Garcia card.
but yer phone dings when it auto pays from your bank account..DING!
Pete: You need the Amazon Fire Stick. No more PPV for you if you get it.
Not that I see. We are days away so pre order should be front and center.
This is so foolish…they not helping in the process of trying to grow the fighters in the sport..shouldn’t make the fans pick..there are plenty of dates to space these cards out..sooooo silly…There are no winners doing this..no one fighter or athlete for that matter will be bigger than their respective sport..
PBC doesn’t seem interested in cooperating with other promotions. Top Rank puts on fights when ESPN tells them it has a slot and probably has little leverage to force a date.
If fighting an opponent 8 inches shorter than you who is really good on the inside in the biggest fight of your life doesn’t convince Fundora to fight tall, then I don’t think anything will. I’m taking Lubin.
I think Garcia has a pretty good chance at beating Harrison as well and I don’t know who he’s fighting, but love Venado Lopez.
Ryan was going to fight Pernell, but Pernell is dead and the actual odds were STILL 2:1 Whitaker ,so he chose this guy…
Can Lubin solve, “The Fundora Code?” I am looking forward to seeing how Lubin will attempt to get in range for offensive purposes.
I have DAZN, but NO WAY I’m paying extra to see him! Coming off a long ass lay-off to boot
If he were fighting one of the A list players I would consider it…but not Tagoe. I know upsets can always happen but names sell and the name should be bigger then Tagoe especially when there are other options. Mosely Rosado is a good co feature though but as long as TSN (Canadian Network) picks up one of the other cards I will not buy.
I see nothing on the DAZN app indicating there is a PPV surcharge for the Garcia vs. Tagoe card.
It doesn’t say on the app. But it is a ppv.14.99 I believe.
That might hurt sales to not be able to actually pay for the PPV.
Looks like it is only PPV in Canada
