Danny Garcia opponent named

Former two-division world champion Danny Garcia will return to the ring against Ivan Redkach on January 25 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The bout will headline a Showtime telecast. Garcia (35-2, 21 KOs) is coming off a seventh round KO of Adrian Granados in April, while Redkach (23-4-1, 18 KOs) is coming off a sixth round knockout of former two-division world champion Devon Alexander in June.

    • You bring up a great point. It seems some fighters get baby steps, make limited cash, and then they get a shot at the title. All this is going on while Hayman makes money regardless. Hayman is a business man and that speaks volumes on his college/education background right along with his business investors. Trust me…

  • Swift taking on a live opponent in the Ukrainian Redkach, and while you have to favor Garcia this should still be an entertaining fight.

  • Redkach comes to fight but Danny should have too much for him. I see comments complaining about Danny’s opposition and disagree with them because it has been excellent over the years in my view but he does need a big win this year to keep things going..
