Butaev-Stanionis on April 16

Both the WBA “super” and WBA “regular” championships will be on the line on the same card as WBA regular ruler Radzhab Butaev (14-0, 11 KOs) meets #1 contender Eimantas Stanionis (13-0, 9 KOs) on the April 16 event that will feature Yordenis Ugas against Errol Spence Jr. in a unification for the WBC, WBA, and IBF belts.

  • Wow!!! After Butaev and Stanionis fight each other, they may leave a good bit of themselves in that ring; and they may need plenty of time off.

  • That makes sense. Since Stanionis stepped aside as Ugas’s mandatory for him to fight Spence.

The winners will fight each other. Stanionis will kick himself in the backside for stepping aside if he loses to Butaev.

  • That’s an interesting one, it will tell us a bit more about the skills of each other. Cannot pick up a winner for the moment, i’m going to do my homework on You Tube to favor one of them..

  • I bet heavy on Stanionis. That strong explosive young man is going to be a tough nut to crack for many many opponents.
