Breidis gets COVID, world title defense delayed

IBF cruiserweight champion Mairis Breidis (28-1, 20 KOs) has contracted COVID-19, forcing a postponement of his world title defense against IBF#3 Jai Opetaia (21-0, 17 KOs). The bout was originally planned for April 6 at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in Carrara on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, but will now be delayed for three to four weeks.
