WBO #6 light welterweight Liam Paro (15-0, 11 KOs) stopped Germany-based Robert Tlatlik (22-2, 16 KOs) in seven one-sided rounds on Saturday at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Paro connected consistently from his southpaw stance with jarring right jabs and powerful left crosses in all contested rounds to force Tlatlik’s corner to surrender in round seven.
”My plan is to fight for a world title in 12 to 18 months and I’m right on track,” Paro said. “Tonight was the toughest fight of my career but I came through it well and I believe that when the time comes I can win the world title too. I have terrific support from my family and fans and they are the people I’m fighting for.”
The promoter was Angelo DiCarlo.
