Super featherweight Zoltán Kovács (a former national and WBO European champion) won by technical decision in the seventh round against tough (and dirty) Rafael Hernandez from Venezuela. The bout was stopped due to a cut from an unintentional headbutt in the second round. The fight was very competitive even though Hernandez was deducted a point for low blows and was warned for using his head. Kovacs moves to 22-5-1, 7 KOs. Hernandez falls to 28-11-2, 22 KOs.
The Hungarian cruiser title clash between Jozsef Darmos (11-2-3, 9 KOs) and Tamás Toth (9-6-5, 5 KOs) also ended also with a technical decision verdict (DRAW) in the 9th round, which was also caused by an unintentional head clash.
WBO# 4, IBF #9 and WBC #13 cruiser Imre Szello (22-0, 14 KOs) became the second man (after Mikkel Kessler) to stop ring veteran and former WBA World title challenger Gusmyr Perdomo (25-9, 17 KOs) in the 7th round. Szellő was in control from the beginning but Perdomo also had his moments.
The Felix Racz-promoted took place Friday in Salgotarjan, Hungary and the event was televised by M4 (Hungarian National TV).
