Stevenson, Alvarado, Adames win by KO

Unbeaten Olympian featherweight Shakur Stevenson (9-0, 5 KOs) scored a first round TKO over Viorel Simion (21-3, 9, KOs) on Saturday night on the Crawford-Benavidez undercard at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Stevenson dropped Simion three times. Time 3:00.

In other results, former world champion “Mile High” Mike Alvarado (40-4, 28 KOs) scored a spectacular second round KO over Robbie “Peashooter” Cannon (16-14-3, 7 KOs). Alvarado dropped Cannon in round two, then laid him out with a haymaker moments later. Time :41.

Unbeaten world rated super welterweight Carlos Adames (15-0, 12 KOs) mowed down Joshua Conley (14-3-1, 9 KOs) in two rounds. Adames dropped Conley once in round one and twice in round two. Time 2:17 of round two. Adames claimed the vacant NABF title.

Unbeaten light heavyweight Steven “So Cold” Nelson (12-0, 10 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Oscar Riojas (17-11-1, 6 KOs). Nelson dropped Riojas twice in round four and the bout was stopped shortly after. Time 2:50.

Unbeaten Olympian female lightweight Mikaela Mayer (8-0, 4 KOs) outpointed Vanessa Bradford (4-1-2, 0 KOs) over eight rounds.

Super featherweight Ismail Muwendo (20-1, 12 KOs) topped Andre Wilson (15-12-1, 12 KOs) over six.
