    • The man fan army coming straight out the gates to defend their crush. I expect Canelo to have his slickest pair of pajamas on during this promotion. Give you fellas something to dream about.

  • if canelo gets past bivol he should fight david benavidez but it will never happen. canelo will keep ducking benavidez.

    • Bivol has some good boxing skills and is a decent all-around solid fighter. I think if Bivol can keep an active pace firing the jab on the outside, he can rack points up early against Alvarez.

      • Bivol..Decent all-around solid fighters????lol he is more than decent he is awesome fighter

        • 31 years old and doesn’t even have 20 fights? Biggest wins are against ancient Jean Pascal and old timer Sullivan Barrera? 11 KOs in 19 wins? C, He’s good but he ain’t all that. Canelo UD 12 or late TKO.

          • He shut out the current WBO titlist. Stop posting ya casual.

          • Thanks for the education Chris. Guess I’m getting OJT. I now realize that beating Joe Smith Jr. makes Bivol an accomplished belt holder. I do suggest you watch Bivol’s last 3 or 4 fights closely. Watch Smith’s last few too. Ya, Pascal, Barrera, and Smith.. what a run!

          • He had a bit of a tough time with the stand up boxer in that brit Craig something that he fought, and didn’t stop the gigantic Salamov who has proven to be very durable. Just because Bivol didn’t stop them doesn’t mean he’s B-level. I give you a 110% guarantee that Canelo would not have stopped either of those fighters, and may not have even won. Try to also keep in mind the weak run of fighters that Canelo has fought since losing twice to GGG. The only two fighters Canelo has fought since Golovkin that could have been dangerous, were either severely shopworn and battered or dangerously weight drained as in the case of Callum Smith. Callum had three weeks to prepare for Alvarez while Kovalev had seven weeks to not only recover from a hard fight but to train for the Mexican. Even then so, there were still weight stipulations against the Russian and anybody with two eyes who is not delusional could see that he never threw bad intended punches. When you make statements like you do it shows that you are either supremely incompetent and shouldn’t be posting on a boxing website, or you have a very biased agenda that keeps you from communicating logically. It’s a more fun life when you keep it real both inside and outside of your brain.

          • Haha! Classic. He beats “Your Average Joe” and now he’s a worldbeater. I love Joe, but c’mon man. That fight was the epitome of ‘styles make fights’. Bivol reminds me of Chad “I’m really bad” Dawson…ie. so many people thought he was some great fighter, and I never thought so even when he was undefeated, which is how I see Bivol. As Floyd would say, “decent fighter, no special effects”, lol.

          • It’s not matter how many fight but quality boxer and fights it took less fights to become champion… other boxer has 50 fights and they are shit

      • Bivol can do it for all 12. Canelo is the one with stamina issues. Aside from typical Alvarez corruption issues, no way Bivol loses this fight. He’s the better fighter.

    • cosmo- first and foremost, im sure the fight will eventually happen. BUT, Benavidez needs to put himself in a position to interest Canelo. Yes, he’s a really good boxer but struggles in the weight area. My thoughts is why hasn’t Benavidez made the move to LHW where he would most likely have a title in hand already and not suffer so much to make weight.

      • ..because Benavides doesn’t like the idea to face Zurdo Ramirez or Betervieb

      • Completely agree. If you want the fight then do something to make yourself attractive. It’s hard to make a case for someone ducking you when they’re fighting world champions and you’re fighting Kyrone Davis, Ronald Ellis and Roamer Angulo.

      • Benavides would only have a title, maybe, if he fought Joe Smith Jr. He loses to Bivol via decision and gets stopped by Beterbiev. There’s a reason he boils down and only fights scrubs. Gavril showed us that.

  • Benavidez, Charlo, Andrade, Eubank, Lara, all those guys need to start fighting each other. Sitting around waiting to see if they hit the Canelo lottery is lame. Benavidez has time on his side, fine, but it’s getting late in the game for the rest of those guys.

  • Bulking up? He has been like this since his days when he unexplainable was jr. Middleweight, when in reality he stepped in the ring as a cruiserweight. To date Bivol is the most complete fighter he has ever faced and a clear win should silence his critics, even though haters will find a way to keep hating.

  • Im a not a huge Canelo fan, but I cant put him down for his effort. The guy trains hard. I think this might be his most risky fight. There comes a time when size wins a fight and Bivol is naturally the larger man. Besides that he is also a skilled fighter. I thought GGG beat Canelo, but even if he didnt its the first time I saw Canelo worn out. A few rounds looked like it was just will holding him up. I really am surprised hes risking so much to face a bigger guy, but at least it will be fun to watch.

  • I wish really wish you guys would stop pretending like this is going to be an interesting fight hahaha. Canelo is going to kill this guy. Too much experience.

    • Bivol has 19 fights and his luster is already starting to tarnish. He looks solid but still vulnerable. Despite his amateur pedigree, you can see him thinking in the ring. Don’t be surprised to see a No Mas. Canelo’s team always calculates and Bivol fits their standards: no recent KOs, diminishing work rate, limited activity, not particularly quick afoot. Many are underestimating Canelo’s craftiness and overestimating Bivol’s ability

      • My sentiments exactly. Canelo saw something in him that doesn’t give him pause. He protested when he was forced to fight GGG. Moving up in weight doesn’t mean moving up in class. Canelo is going to kill this guy.

  • Bivol on points like GGG should’ve.. If they don’t rob him like GGG !

  • HHHmmmmm. I smell roids? D-ball maybe? Extra testosterone suspension?

  • We saw what the weight increase then decrease did to Roy Jones Jr. Takes its toll on the body. Roy was never the same after moving up to heavyweight.

  • Mr Alvarez has impressed me very much. I have enjoyed every single fight he, Canelo has successfully defended his titles and gain others. I personally have never gone to see a professional boxing match, l will probably never have the money to spend on a boxing match. But if my dream comes true, Saul (Canelo) Alvares would be my choice to see him on a boxing match and shake his hand. I have seen many of his boxing match over and over again. I envy Mr Saul (Canelo) Alvarez

  • After 12 rounds
If we see Canelo loose, the result DRAW. If we see 50-50 ,Canelo win.
If Bivol want to win,he must knock out Canelo.
