In an IBO eliminator, little-known 39-year-old Istvan Szili (26-2-2, 14 KOs) won a twelve round majority decision over comebacking 43-year-old two-division world champion Felix Sturm (42-6-3. 18 KOs) on Saturday night at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany. Svili put a lot of pressure on Sturm and heads collided often with Sturm getting the worst of it. Sturm showed flashes of his former technical brilliance, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Szili’s aggression. Scores were 115-113, 116-111, 114-114.

is this really a shocker? hes coming back to boxing at 43 years old. Its more like:
‘Figures..: Szili beats Sturm’
I sat ringside in the VIP section trust me this was not an upset. Felix looked and was old. the younger Szili was much more aggressive and had a lot more energy. It was a bit saying fight reminiscent of arturo gatti vs Micky Ward.
4 years makes all the difference at that age.
