Super bantamweight Adrian Alvarado (5-0-1, 3 KO’s) and Sergio Lopez (4-7-4) fought to a six round draw in the main event this past Saturday night at the Commerce Casino, in Commerce, California. It was a battle as both Alvarado and Lopez traded throughout the fight to the final bell as all three judges scored the bout 57-57 a draw.

Super lightweight rising prospect Ernesto “Tito” Mercado (4-0, 4 KOs) of Ontario, California, scored an impressive knockout over Marc Misiura (2-3-1, 1 KO). Mercado dropped Misiura twice, once in the opening round as he continued to fight on wobbly legs but Mercado’s attack was overwhelming forcing the referee to stop the fight.

San Diego super featherweight, Brandon Cruz (7-2) won a four round unanimous decision over Jesus Guzman (8-5). Cruz dominated from the opening bell, boxing effectively in working his way to the decision win as all three judges scored the bout 40-36.

Super lightweight Armand Manuelian (2-0, 1 KO) of Glendale, California scored a first round knockout over Calvin Glover (0-4). A left hook to the body dropped Glover as he got up but was sent to the canvas a second time from another crunching body shot as referee Jerry Cantu stopped the fight at 52 seconds.

Female super bantamweight Merari Vivar (5-0) of Los Angeles. and Elizabeth Tuani (1-6) went the distance four rounds. Vivar put the work in against a very tough Tuani in going four rounds. All three judges scored the it 40-36 in favor of Vivar.

Stephanie Chávez (1-0) won her pro debut a unanimous decision over Dawn Makazaris. Chávez dominated from the start to finish going the distance four rounds. All three judges scored the bout 40-36.

Super lightweight Jose Elias (3-0) won a unanimous over Mario Aguirre (3-15-1, KO). Elias and Aguirre traded for much of the fight but it was Elias the landed the more solid punches, busier, in outworking Aguirre. All three judges scored it 40-36.

Francisco Casillas (2-0, 1 KO) made quick work of disposing him in 27 seconds. A nasty right hand by Cadillacs did it as referee Jack Reiss immediately waived the bout.

Featherweight Joshua García (3-0) battled it out with Abel Dudo (1-3) in going the distance four rounds. García had to grind it out with Dudo. The judges scored it 40-36, 39-37, and 39-37.

Super flyweight Alexis Alvarado (4-1) won a hard fought unanimous decision over Kevin Nunez (0-1)

In the opening bout super bantamweight Nicolas Rubacaldo (1-0, 1 KO) scored a knockout over Jaime Rios (0-1). A right hook did it as Rios hit the canvas face first referee Jerry Cantu reached a ten count.

The event was promoted by Red Boxing Promotions, in attendance at ringside were WBO super welterweight champion Brian Castano of Argentina and Undefeated welterweight Vergil Ortiz. Both are scheduled to fight in separate bouts March 19th in Los Angeles.
