In the main event, Fresno’s Mike Ruiz (12-4-3 4 KOs) pounded out a close ten round unanimous decision over Modesto’s Jonathan Torres (8-6-1 2 KOs) in the bantamweight division. Scores read 95-94, 97-92, 97-92. The fight featured momentum swings and a wild finish over the last thirty seconds. Ruiz was deducted a point for a low blow in round five but it didn’t prove to be a difference maker.
In an all out war, Fresno’s Joe Louie Lopez (9-2, 6 KOs) stopped Visalia CA’s Jose Leon (6-2-1, 5 KOs) by TKO at 2:39 into round number five. Referee Dan Stell called a premature halt to what looked like anybody’s fight, much to the displeasure of Leon and the bewilderment of many at ringside in what was an excellent scrap. Fight was in the super middleweight division.
In the four round walkout bout, Fresno’s Jesus Ibarra Sanchez (3-1 2ko’s) won a furious second round TKO of Rasheed Lawal of Nigeria (1-6-1) where heavy shots were traded throughout at 2:59 of the round. Dan Stell once again panicked and prematurely waived the fight off although Sanchez was starting to come on and control the wild action. Lawal was a 2008 Olympian who has had hard luck in his pro career.
Jose Salinas of Fresno 3-0, 1 KO defeats Samuel Jude Yniguez 4-6-4 of Oak Hills, CA, by majority decision. Scores were 40-36, 39-37, 38-38. Fight was in the super feather division.

Fresno California’s Julian Lopez (4-0) overcame a spirited effort from smaller man Guadalupe Arroyo (2-9) of Huntington Beach to win via unanimous decision. The size and length of Lopez proved to be the difference in the spirited affair. The fight was contested at the super featherweight division.
