New opponent for Cletus Seldin

Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (24-1, 20 KOs) will now defend his NABA super lightweight title against Luis Florez (25-15, 21 KOs) on Friday night at The Paramount after former opponent Humberto Martinez pulled out for medical reasons. Florez has the distinction of being the only man to defeat multi-time world champion and current WBC champion Miguel Berchelt, winning via a huge first-round knockout upset back in 2014.

Seldin-Florez tops a card that also features world-rated heavyweight Carlos Takam (37-5-1, 28 KOs) against Fabio Maldonado (26-3, 25 KOs) in the co-main event. The event will stream on PPV.

  • Seldin is nothing more then a club fighter, no matter how much they build him up. Anyway he should get a title shot by the end of the year.

  • Am I wrong? Isn’t berchelt a 130lb fighter? So 140 vs 130? Hopefully it’s just a tune up en route for bigger fights.
