WBA bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell’s team and Liborio Solis’ team have reached an agreement to have their rematch and, thus, they avoided the purse bids ordered by the WBA Championships Committee for today. The boxers previously fought last December with McDonnell winning by unanimous decision (116-112, 115-113 and 117-111). A protest from the Solis team was upheld by the Championships Committee and the rematch was ordered. Team McDonnell and Team Solis have 20 days to send the signed contracts to the WBA offices.
