Klitschko trainer Banks to train Granat

Earlier this week it was announced that the biggest super fight in the modern Swedish history of boxing will take place on April 21st in Sundsvall – domestic heavyweight rivals Adrian Granat (15-1, 14 KOs) vs. Otto Wallin (19-0, 13 KOs) in the clash for the vacant EU-title. Today, Granat announced that his new head trainer is Johnathon Banks, the former trainer of Wladimir Klitschko.

Adrian Granat: I am honored to get the opportunity to work with Banks. I got to know him in 2015 when he and Dillian Whyte were in Hamburg preparing for the Joshua vs Whyte fight. We got along well and I was then invited to the Klitschko camp a couple of months later to do sparring for the upcoming Klitschko vs Fury fight. Banks is a great coach and I know I can learn a great deal from him. It is also exciting that this super fight against Wallin gets this much attention already now – it is really a great fight and the winner will then fight for the EBU title.
