Jhonny Gonzalez returns on Sept 29

The former two-division world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (66-10, 54 KOs) returns September 29 against an opponent to be announced in his 77th professional fight. He has registered eight consecutive victories over Hurricane Futa (Japan), Justin Savi (Benin), Christopher Martin (United States), Hirotsugu Yamamoto (Japan), Francisco Contreras (Dominican Republic), Jessie Cris Rosales (Philippines), Irving Berry (Panama) and Marlyn Cabrera (Dominican Republic).

Gonzalez, who turns 37 later this month, is looking for the best options for his 77th fight and has been training since August in Mexico City under his father Miguel Ángel “Ratón” González and his uncle Sergio González. Recently caampaigning at super featherweight, Jhonny has his sights set on a new world championship opportunity very soon.
