Fonfara stops Sillakh in six

By Przemek Garczarczyk

In a cruiserweight clash between former world title challengers, Andrzej “The Polish Price” Fonfara (30-5, 18 KOs) scored a sixth round TKO over Ismail “The Black Russian (although he’s actually Ukrainian)” Sillakh (25-5, 19 KOs) on Saturday night at the Torwar Sport Hall in Warsaw, Poland. A furious barrage of punches by Fanfare prompted a referee’s stoppage. It was the Chicago-based Fonfara’s first fight in Poland since his pro debut in 2006.
