“The Contender” reality boxing series will be returning on the EPIX network later this year with a twelve episode season. The series has been on hiatus for nine years. The middleweight division will be featured. No fighters have been named as of yet. In all, sixteen boxers will be divided into two teams to train, each overseen by a boxing coach who will act as mentor.
