Conlan: Definitely want a rematch

After being taken from the ring area on a stretcher after a brutal KO loss, there was serious concern about Michael Conlan’s health. However, after a clean brain scan and some stitches at the hospital, Conlan was back tweeting on social media a few hours later.

  • Take a nice long break and heal up. Then do as you were in the first place and go down to 122 and do some damage.

    • Yeah that definitely seems like it would be an aging fight for Conlan. Respect to his attitude, but he needs a rest after that. Wood as well probably!

  • Great to see the kids alright. Hell of a fight. When Conlan learns to relax a bit more, vary his attack, he is going to do very well. Great eyes, feet and hands. With more experience they will fuse for him. And Wood just the reason most of us love this sport. When all else what’s not in his favor, heart and will did not elude him.

  • You’re a warrior my friend, but please take a nice long break! Heal physically, mentally and emotionally! Epic battle and if you make a full recovery I wouldn’t mind seeing you guys at it again!

  • If Conlan had lasted the final round. he would have lost according to the official scorecard. That would have resulted in a controversial decision since it looked like Conlan was way ahead in most peoples eyes.
had he lasted, Conlan would have been the victim of a 10-8 round and we would have lost on two judges scorecards.

    • Whose to say he wouldnt have been dropped multiple times and survived to the bell.

  • A classic. A fight to be renembered for decades. Whatever they were paid – it was’nt enough.

  • Conlon was acting liked a dick all week but did show class in losing. Two warriors.

  • First time i saw wood fight, much respect for him, a true warrior, respectful and classy.
