The IBF has ordered Subriel Matias and Gabriel Valenzuela, ranked #5 and #6 respectively in the IBF jr. welterweight ratings, to begin negotiations for the IBF jr. welterweight eliminator for the #1 position. The winner of the bout will be the mandatory challenger for the IBF jr. welterweight title currently held by Richardson Hitchins. Negotiations should be concluded by January 26.

I would expect Matias to come out the winner on that one, but if he faces hitchins, I believe he loses. Matias can be outboxed.
